Meet Stanley R Novart and Derick F Kyaruzi who are the owners of SD Jersey Point which is an Online Jersey Store, They have been selling Jerseys since 2020/2021. Stanley Novart studied Bachelor of Commerce in Procurement and Logistics Management at The University of Dodoma and Derick took a Diploma in Accounts at The Institute of Finance Management also studied Bachelor of Business Administration in finance at Bachelor of Open University. SBOS: Hello Stanley How are you?
Stanley:
Well am Fine Thank you.
SBOS: Well that’s good to hear that you’re fine. Thank you so
much for meeting us today. Am so could you please tell us a little bit about SDJersey Point.
Stanley:
It’s my Pleasure Don’t stress about it. Well SD jersey Point was actually
Derick’s Idea, where by he shared his idea to me and I thought about it and I was
like you know what! that’s a great Idea, so me and derick have been working as
partners where by, we sell jerseys in Dar es salaam and outside Dar es salaam too.
SBOS: That’s wonderful, you guys have
customers in Dar es Salaam and outside Dar es Salaam, are there any Challenges
that you face in running SD jersey point?
Stanley:
Well yeah every business has its Ups and Downs, and for me it comes in delivering
the Jerseys where by some customers live very far away so the distance acts as a
challenge since I have to use other expenses to compensate on transport so that I could
deliver the jerseys, also when it comes to prices the prices are usually fixed, but then some customers still try to bargain the prices so this
actually acts as a major challenge because the business has to expand and as we
all know the Jersey business is a seasonal business where by in every season jerseys change from
time to time .
SBOS: That’s true, so Stanley as you said every
business has its ups and downs and as we all know we human beings face
challenges in our lives what are the challenges that you have faced in your
life?

Stanley: For me a major challenge that I am currently facing, am I cannot really recall a challenge
that I have faced in the past that really disturbed my feelings rather than being sick, but then the major challenge that I am currently facing is getting a Job, am searching and applying for jobs. It is challenging because you can get called in an Interview but it turns you down,
The was this Interview that we were called and they actually trained us and told us that from next
week will start working but then they didn’t call us nor notify us. So it is kinder of a challenge because I kinder feel like at this age, I should be completely
Independent but then GOD has other plans so that’s the only major challenge that i am currently facing and it stresses me.
SBOS: How do you cope with all this, how do you
overcome that stress?
Stanley:
Well am overcoming it through being Patient and everyone is telling me to do so,
so am just being patient and I keep applying to Jobs sometimes I get called for
an interview sometimes i do not get called, At the same time I have my side hustles and that is SD Jersey point, sport outfits and sports instruments whatever concerns sports I am
your guy even if Its a whistle am still you’re guy. At times I get this Phone deals
something that most guys at my age do I have connections in that so yeah.
SBOS: okay that is nice, so is there anything that
motivates you to do all this, something that can uplift or change someone?
Stanley:
Well I live with this notion in my head “That Everything is going to be alright”
I would say It’s a feeling or a belief that I have for myself. I also have a
reminder that pops up as a notification in my phone every morning “That
everything is going to be alright Stanley”. What I can tell people is that it works
for me also I don’t have Good morning messages daily, so when I just see that
reminder it comforts me. What I can really say to people out there struggling
is that be Patient and also do not give up... keep your hopes up and trust in
yourself that you will get there. You know everyone has a different path also
it should not bother you that someone at your age has everything already that
your struggling to get or achieve just believe in yourself and be patient because everyone
out there has a different timeline I hope this it encourages someone out there.
